Why Gifted Education Matters

Gifted education is a type of special education.

These students need additional resources and materials to ensure that they can reach their full potential. When gifted students aren’t adequately challenged in the classroom and beyond, they become bored, disinterested, and lose their curiosity. Additionally, their brain development is literally constrained or capped.

Brain Development & Neuroscience

The brain is an incredible organ.

Let's unleash it's full potential. And the most important formative time of the brain is between the ages of 7-11. It’s during this stage that the neurons are most receptive to growth. Gifted children need to keep their brains stimulated in order to reach their full potential and literally grow their brains as much as possible. Too many gifted children hit an IQ ceiling because they aren’t provided with sufficient learning resources.

Science behind lesson design

Our lessons aren’t just lectures. They’re crafted using the lesson-design practices that are proven to help gifted learners (and their minds) fully engage.

Each lesson starts with brain boosters, which are crucial to cognitive development. Consider these warm up activities as mental gymnastics. Just as muscles strengthen with exercise, brain boosters build neurological "plasticity" which increases the capacity to think, solve problems, and absorb new ideas. We sprinkle in motivators to create a yearning or purpose to focus. It may be thought provoking questions, relating content to real life situations, or other engaging activities. Instruction is delivered with opportunities to pause, think, and complete hands on activities. Our animated videos will keep students focused and engaged. Slide shows, links to short videos, or other resources may be offered to optimize the content. Materials are provided for hands on activities. The guided instruction will include clear step by step directions. Gifted students have a deep desire to demonstrate their efforts have value. Intrinsic rewards are experienced as students successfully engage in an interactive check up. We do the research for you! If your child expresses interest in learning more, we list related books, resources, or materials at the end of each video.

Gifted education doesn’t get enough support...

...leaving most gifted students and parents to fend for themselves.

It's hard to find activities that capture your child's imagination and attention. And a lot most toys and subscription activities don't teach the physics, chemistry, and basic science behind them. Our instructors (with decades of experience and advanced degrees in gifted education) know what it takes to excite bright young minds with challenging content. Engaging lessons that gifted children need to be at their best. Delivered with all materials to your door each month.
